Some items removed from the slate

The AI revolution has taken its toll. With that, very few Sims projects remain in production at Dozerfleet.

Of the comics / short story books with Sims illustration, the following remain:

  • Corando's "Don't Lose Hope"
  • Blood Over Water
  • Sorbet
  • Ciem / Anarteq: Kahoopiliana
  • Sniperbadger: Fall of the Critter Resistance
  • Volkonir 2008
  • Path of the Ming-Cho

Of the DzMD Sims 4 packs for download, only a few projects remain:

  • Centipede and Fire Saga Story Pack
  • Anarteq Saga Story Pack
  • Sodality: Adaptation Story Pack

The Sodality: Determination Story Pack is being merged with the Adaptation Story Pack, as has what would have been the Mukade: Reinvention story pack. The Tales of Extirpon and Gray Champion: Modern Legends packs are going to be truncated and merged with Swappernetters.

The following have been removed from the DzMD roster without merger or replacement:

  • Cherinob Saga Story Pack
  • Exploits of a Navy Rope Story Pack
  • Experiments and Offspring Story Pack
  • The Battle for Gerosha Story Pack
  • The Gray Champion: Modern Legends Story Pack
  • Tales of Extirpon Story Pack
  • Volkonir Story Pack
  • Camelorum Adventures Story Pack

There also will be no Ciem Tomorrow story pack.

Following the seven packs still slated, no new Sims 4 pack content will be created for download via Dozerfleet Labs and DzMD. The completion of the eight comics listed above will also mean that, home build interiors notwithstanding, there will likely be no new Sims content of any kind in the future from Dozerfleet Labs.

While Dozerfleet is slowly getting out of the machinomics / machinima / Sims modding business, and won't be getting Sims 5 nor doing much with Sims in the future, that's not to say that there aren't other games on the horizon that look promising. For those who can't get enough of life simulation, InZoi looks promising. For those more concerned with CAD software for buildings, House Flipper 2 may be the way to go.

Approaching Deadlines and Sims uploads

After the Sims 3 section of DzMD is finished, which will be soon, focus in the Sims 4 section will become centered around Into the Future Conversions and the ad for Oughties Big Rapids Living Stuff.

With those out of the way, Camelorum Adventures will get its uploads handled quickly. There won't be any Sims 3 releases for Camelorum, unless there is sufficient popular demand.

From there, focus will shift to Sodality: Adaptation. With that pack out of the way, however, focus will then shift away from DzMD for a time. The remaining packs will still be developed and released; but not quickly.

Instead, the non-DzMD sections of Dozerfleet Labs will have their old sections rushed into publication and release. Dozerfleet Comics / Literature will take center stage from there, and Purge-Flare: Stickin' It to Pencil will be rushed for release.

In mid-July, Blood Over Water is to begin "filming" (screenshots taken with the game on both PC and PS4.) This will continue until the entire story has been converted. Once finished, it will then be sent over to Mod the Sims, for hosting approval. It will be made public. Wiki articles will be updated to reflect changes. And then, writing will commence on Ciem: Inferno and Anarteq: Guardian of the Soo.

Once these novels are ready for beta read, the Horrorday Gang will have their submissions uploaded. The Centipede and Fire and Anarteq CC packs will then be added to DzMD. Swappernetters will eventually follow, as will any remaining Gerosha packs.

Volkonir may not get all its content released until next year, as scheduling permits. Once Inferno and Soo are out, and Kahoopiliana is also out, emphasis will switch to writing Sniperbadger and Ash Cloud. Followed by Tropic Mercenary and Ciem: Caldera. The goal is to finish the Legacy volume first, then write the Legends volume, then the Orient volume. Origins and Sodality would be written concurrently. Swappernetters would be written after nearly everything else is cleared out, followed by Ciem: Tomorrow. Then, with no main Gerosha continuity left to write, Volkonir and Camelorum can get official literature written and (hopefully) published.

Ideally, most of this can be done by 2025.

Oughties Big Rapids Living, Out Now!

Current version

This current release (v1.1) gives you 24 new object / recolor items, 6 clothing items, and 14 new buildings to explore; all based on real items and locations relevant to Big Rapids and Ferris State. It also comes with authorized tracks from Unlisted, and some folder icons for Windows, Mac, and Linux, modeled after various businesses in the area. The pack's theme is centered around the late 2000s in Big Rapids, seeking to recapture as close as possible the feel of that time period.

Want your Sims to experience college life in parts of a real college town? Know what it's like to live in homes that really exist in an actual college town? Consider this pack as a way to make Discover University a bit more fun. Each item not only is based on something that exists (or did), but has a history to it!

And if you're ever curious about why so much of Big Rapids is pivotal to the development of Dozerfleet Productions, play this pack and find out!

Don't forget to read the manual!

The handbook details each item in this pack's catalog, it's history, etc.
