The future of the Sims packs

Here's how things are shaping up so far:

  • The stuff packs will continue to be provided as-is.
  • The Horrorday Gang Story Pack will get its handbook. Most of the packs can still get them. However, they won't be as lore-dense or complex as the handbook for Top of the World.
  • The Anarteq: Guardian of the Soo will come close to the complexity of Top of the World. The other packs will have their complexity with lore insertion scaled back significantly.
  • The Centipede and Fire Saga threads will get basic thread layouts on content provided inside. The handbooks will be scaled back. There will be some level of production, but not nearly at the same level as Anarteq: Top of the World.
  • Sodality packs have been pulled for the time being. After a spec sheet or two can be assessed, the handbooks will be written as artful reconstructions. Sodality won't get the high-level production for the handbooks that the other packs got.
  • Swappernetters have been pulled. They may be restored, but the handbooks will have to be based on the spec sheets, and possibly scaled back.
  • No future Sims CC packs will be made. The 17 "big boys" in the collection will be final.

Once these spec sheets for pages, and the final handbooks are complete, there will be no new Sims content.

  • Building schematics will be given screenshots, and pulled from The Sims 4. Any still inside The Sims 3, that matter, will also get pulled.
  • House Flipper 2 will get one handbook for all reproductions of key Dozerfleet locations.
  • Anything not reproduced for House Flipper 2 will get redirected to Planner 5D or SweetHome 3D.
  • Corando's "Don't Lose Hope" will be remade with Krea, possibly including as music video. And with a new tune.
  • Star Flops: Curse of the Medium Side will remain a Sims comic as-is.
  • Blood Over Water will be Krea-generated.
  • All other previously-pending Sims comics will be made with Krea instead.
  • The final InZOI artbook is still pending. No new mod content is on the horizon.

Deep Archival on the Way for DzMD

Given some new announcements from EA moving forward with the Sims franchise, it's become clear that long-term support for the old Sims 4 packs is becoming increasingly difficult to justify.

While the Anarteq: Top of the World Story Pack will still get its completed handbook, it will be one of the few packs not discontinued soon. Magic of Movies and Memes will remain up. Oughties Big Rapids Living will remain up. Everything else, however, will be discontinued. Anything that isn't on IMDB, and doesn't have a handbook, and is Sims-related, will soon be pulled from DzMD.

The wiki articles will still document everything about the history of these Sims 4 packs. However, the handbooks won't be completed. The labor can no longer be justified.

Lot blueprints will get screenshots. As much will be reconstructed as possible using Planner 5D, SweetHome 3D, and/or House Flipper 2.

This transition will affect more than just DzMD. Comics will get remade. Krea will become the de-facto format generator.

In less-depressing news, the new Dozerfleet Mac means that X-Code can be deployed for making the Shrimp on a Treadmill Calculator an official Mac app. Once the Windows EXE version also exists, all that remains is to make a Linux-end version that's compatible with Mint.

What was going to be a peaceful send-off, with rumors of predatory pop-up ads entering the Sims' ecosystem, has now become an evacuation project. EA's business model, post-private equity acquisition, is becoming borderline predatory. And that's not a healthy situation for DzMD.

The future is almost here

When the manuals are done being written for the old Sims packs of Dozerfleet Machinomic Downloadables, then DzMD will become an archive. The packs will still be available, though downloads may be few and far between.

Once the staple and prime focus of Dozerfleet Labs, DzMD is soon about to become a side feature. Instead, the division's future will focus on housing video game pitches.

The Citric Sid content will eventually be condensed into a single cookbook, offered through Dozerfleet Literature's main bookstore.

As for the software and apps? These will remain:

  • What's Your Straggele Codename?
  • Loquat Music Tracklist Table
  • How to Build a Ciem Suit
  • Bebas Centipede Font
  • Question Prompting Assistant
  • Task Delegator
  • Shrimp on a Treadmill Calculator

Everything else is to be discontinued from the widgets section, due to low current demand and due to most of it being obsolete with today's world.

With these changes having been made, once building blueprints have been secured via screenshots from The Sims 4 and The Sims 3, a lot less game-related UCG content should be expected moving forward.

At present, most Dozerfleet Sims screenshot content that was being housed for writing projects is now being put through a culling process. A lot of previs from that era of image generation either already has or else can be reproduced was video clips via Grok or Sora, rendering the old Sims dependencies deprecated. All content not completely deleted, but removed from circulation, will go into deep archival, possibly to an MDisc.

Bumps in the development road

Testing has revealed that the biggest issue with the Anarteq: Top of the World Story Pack, at the moment, is that Haus of Nando's Going North mod appears to be broken. Without this, Tartosa cannot become Iceland, and the Greenland doubling illusion is broken.

The problem doesn't appear to be with the glaciers, lighthouse, fake houses, or other objects. It's entirely with the world map overlay instructing the Tartosa area of the coastline. The GP11 overlay doesn't translate, and the game defaults to making Tartosa be Italian.

All other issues appear to have been fixed. Because of this, the story packs can continue with their handbook production. If any machinomics do still get made with The Sims 4, Blood Over Water and Sorbet would be the likely candidates. Volkonir 2008 will likely be made with AI instead. All other comics have already been redirected to AI workflows.

Many patches for The Sims 4 have broken the game throughout the game's life cycle. However, the patch for Adventure Awaits proved incredulously destructive. It remains to be seen how soon these remaining issues can be resolved. Suffice to say, Anarteq: Guardian of the Soo will not require Going North. And after that, the remaining packs that need handbooks are Midwestern, Hawaiian, or Irish. The Horrorday Gang may show Nordreichdun Palace and Klauenstadt to a degree, but will not require Going North to function visually.

Nintendo has joined the dark side

Copied from the main blog.

By the "logic" of Nintendo's totalitarian lawfare-minded current leadership [source], any art that doesn't make Nintendo money, that depends on the existence of literally anything else existing before it existed, "doesn't count" as "real art."

So by that "logic," if God had to create the universe before cavemen could be inspired to paint cave walls depicting the animals they hunted, then any and all art done by those cavemen "doesn't count" as real art - unless Nintendo automatically acquires the rights to it by default, without having to pay a cent! And gets to do a next-of-kin count for every single generation of anyone who made any art ever that was never a Nintendo employee, and then demand legal reparations!

This isn't IP protection. It's extortion and IP robbery. Plain and simple.

Back in the good old days, after Nintendo's first bid to ruin the lives of modders got foiled by courts with common sense, they didn't give up. They got salty, and swore revenge.

What the automotive industry gets right that the gaming industry fails to

Along with the invention of the automobile, came the invention of mods. Custom accessories for cars. Some which might void a warranty, others which were harmless. Some sponsored by the company, others tolerated, some licensed to use company logos, some not.

The automotive industry figured things out. Custom accessory makers could, if they followed good faith practices, even profit from their work. Could sell products.

But somehow, when it came to the world of video games, the industry couldn't seem to wrap its mind around automotive industry best practices, and adapt them.

Thieves poisoned the well

So instead, chaos ensued. Life for modders-for-profit was going great, until one nasty game released. That game was That's Life. Thing is, it violated every ounce of good faith imaginable.

EA allowed mods for The Sims to exist, or even be for profit, as long as modders made clear who they were, that they were not endorsed officially by EA, etc.

However, That's Life changed the game. A group of shameless crapweasels deduced through their predatory logic that if most modders, out of respect, were no getting paid, and doing things as a passion project to better the world of gaming, then they probably didn't have the money to hire good attorneys.

So the predators who made That's Life compiled their giant Sims mod pack, and sold it on store shelves. Except: over 90% of all Sims mod content in the pack...was outright stolen. Full-blown plagairism against actual, competent passion project generators.

Moreover, becoming greedier over time and noting that these mods needed a base game ecosystem to operate, EA became more like Nintendo. It noted that it wasn't making any money off of That's Life. Instead, a third party entity of known and established thieves and con artists were making ALL the money!

So That's Life got pulled from shelves. Its creators sued to oblivion. And EA had a change of heart on mod policy. No one could make any Sims mod for any game, nor release any machinima or machinomic work generated from their product, and release it for profit, without express permission or a licensing deal from EA themselves.

For passion project generators, this was an absolute win. They weren't making money anyway. They were out to better the creativity of the gaming world. Or, use the platform and mods to serve as free advertising for other good, noble, upcoming things.

So EA's change of heart was tolerated. With exception of Rooster Teeth getting licensed to make and sell The Strangerhood, it was established in the Sims modding community as a general principle that profiteering was a no-no. Third party creators could make story packs to market their own IPs that existed outside the game, as is the case with Dozerfleet Labs and DzMD using Sims modding as free advertising for Dozerfleet Comics' current or up-and-coming projects.

And other modders were also free to create. There was a simple rule though: modders couldn't sell the game mod content they made. Except to the company itself. And even then, only if EA wanted to buy it. And in return, EA couldn't seize the work of a third party creator, steal it outright, take full credit for its creation, and profiteer off it.

These boundaries were common sense. And for 21 years, from the arrival of The Sims 2 until 2025 under The Sims 4, this was the established, accepted, understood rule.

Then, along came the new Nintendo.

Nintendo now wants to make it so that any game that exists that uses any mechanic that Nintendo also uses, even if Nintendo weren't the one to invent that mechanic, is now required to give over its entire IP for free to Nintendo, to do with as Nintendo sees fit. Just because Nintendo is salty.

That, in essence, is wholesale theft. And using bribery of courts and patent offices? Violation of RICO statutes!!!

This is racketeering, theft, extortion, and more. But on top of that, they're trying to set a legal precedent that art only counts as "art" if it makes Nintendo money. And under no other circummstances! Hence, Nintendo game mods don't count as "art," because they need a base game to function. And therefore, even if a mod is released FOR FREE, Nintendo now argues it has the "right" (read: thieving want) to steal the mod outright from the creator, compensate nothing to the creator, repackage and sell the mod's content, and claim full authorship of the mod! Thus, turning modders into slave laborers. Replacing community and innovation with exploitation.

And not even treating their slaves well! No. Instead, suing them and ruining their lives for daring to have a dream that wouldn't make Nintendo money!

And if allowed to get away with this RICO-violating aggression? Nintendo sets a legal precedent that then allows other companies, like EA, to not only do the same to modders of its games; but to also steal any IP that the mod refers to that doesn't belong to the company. And it ALL now becomes company property!

This doesn't protect anyone's IP. It's wholesale theft masquerading as protection!

If Nintendo gets what it wants, and EA begins to follow suit, it will be the end of DzMD. Because if DzMD isn't gutted under those circumstances, then EA will presume the right to steal the ENTIRE Dozerfleet Productions project catalog for itself! Not gonna happen!

The wages of Nintend-overreach

Here's what's at stake if that were to happen:

  • If EA went full-tilt Nintendo, then every single DzMD Sims 2 mod that is no longer available anywhere would become EA property.
    • That EA could then sell or else distribute for free at its own discretion.
    • The actual author would get no credit, and no payment. Unacceptable!
    • This wouldn't just apply to actual custom content for the game. It would apply to literally any tool (such as the StretchSkeleton Cheat Calculator and Love Photo Doctor) that exists outside the game but which was made to assist players with understanding how to exploit a game mechanic for storytelling purposes. To steal the Love Photo Doctor and then sell it, especially given it's for a 21-year-old game? DISGUSTING!!!
  • Under Nintendo logic, the entire Sims 3 back catalog of mod content made by DzMD to reference any Dozerfleet or non-Dozerfleet property now becomes EA property.
    • Original Dozerfleet content would be shamelessly pilfered, exploiting the weak legal power of Dozerfleet's legal defense.
    • Mods referencing other companies, such as the Doctor Strange mod, which Marvel could contest? EA would simply bury that, since they can't get Marvel to license them to sell it for profit. For a 14-year-old game!
  • Under Nintendo logic, EA would be emboldend to steal for themselves literally anything mentioned anywhere in the DzMD catalog of Sims 4 content.
    • They might try to steal Cherinob, even with proof existing in the handbook itself that she existed before The Sims 4, and that she exists in plenty of formats and art styles that aren't from EA!
    • The same goes for the Trapezoid Kids, and anything else that's Dozerfleet-original.
  • Nintendo would then swoop in on EA themselves, stating that since they bribed the US patent office to offer Nintendo a bad faith patent on mounting mechanics, that Horse Ranch now belongs to Nintendo. And by extension, the entire EA company. And by extension, the entire fan community's entire ecosystem! And not to celebrate them; but to extort them!

If Nintendo plays hardball, and the courts are that corrupt:

  • All entries on IMDB would be removed immediately. Or requests would be made for their removal. This includes the Swappernetters packs, Oughties Big Rapids Living Stuff, The Horrorday Gang, and Magic of Movies and Memes Stuff. Poof! Evidence on IMDB that these packs ever existed? Gone!
  • The wiki? Scrubbed of anything that might still give these companies any grounds to steal any Dozerfleet IP!
  • The mods themselves? Gone. Archived.
  • The cast? Every single one of them still existing as a Sims character would be converted to AI faux live action or a cartoon character, generated outside The Sims. All Sims versions erased.
  • The machinomics? Taken offline. Forever.
    • Ciem 2007 would never get re-released.
    • The failed Q-Basic Gorillas machinomic? All canceled project surviving art would have to be destroyed. All of it.
    • Star Flops: Curse of the Medium Side? Gone.
    • Blood Over Water: Dirty Laundry? Remade without Sims before being re-released.
    • Purge-Flare: Stickin' It to Pencil? AI remake. Even the ad for Ciem: Inferno would be remade or removed. Because even though it was made with GTA V, it would still be at risk. What's to stop Rockstar from becoming just as greedy as Nintendo?
    • Corando's "Don't Lose Hope"? Remade with AI. All other projects that were originally going to be made with Sims would also become AI, as is the plan anyway.
  • The home blueprints? Only House Flipper 2 versions would still stand. Unless Frozen District were seized in a hostile takeover, and that also became legally radioactive. Then, those renders would go private.

Dozerfleet gaming would be dead. All comics would be remade with AI, or archived permanently. The novels could still function. The music could continue. Videos would hit differently. The trailer for Oughties Big Rapids Living Stuff would be taken down, along with anything else that referenced the Sims franchise. The widgets that are unrelated to gaming? Could remain. But all Dozerfleet gaming would be dead. The wiki would be able to mention that there were plans. But those plans were canceled due to the Nintendo fallout.

Hopefully, courts moving forward will have enough good sense to see what all is happening here for what it is, and stop Nintendo's madness before it sets a dangerous legal precedent.

It's one thing for companies to want to stop pirates. It's another for them to become predatory on the fans that built them, rob smaller IPs into extinction, plagairize the original work of IPs they destroyed, and chill creativity itself out of existence!

DzMD isn't gone yet. But if Nintendo continues to poison the industry against the fandom that it needs to survive, if companies continue to become predatory, then the future of Dozerfleet will be an uphill battle for the right to exist.

Like so many on YouTube right now, no one at Dozerfleet has missed the irony that the lunatic currently ru(i)n(n)ing Nintendo has the last name of Bowser!

Bad news and blog mergers

Hubris has consequences. Society is finding that out the hard way.

What all happened?

They listened to the rebels calling themselves "romantic humanists" in the 19th century. Basically, satanists. Education was corrupted. Scofield and Co. corrupted a lot of American churches. Their corruption bred numerous cults. The religious and cultural cancer has metastasized to stage 5 now.

With these things now as far gone as they are, America is teetering on the brink of total moral bankruptcy. And can't quite seem to figure out that moral bankruptcy begets other forms of bankruptcy. The first major rupture was 1913 - the year pure dripping evil took over, and hardly anyone even noticed.

Once the government sector had the cancer firmly embedded within, there was no turning back. And the loss of church integrity in most denominations begat the loss of integrity in society as a whole.

It was only a matter of time before corporate greed and government greed found each other, and those variants of the cancer merged. Despite the imbeciles demanding that everyone be a globalist piece of scum like them, or else you're "literally a Nazi," contantly regurgitating the same vomit of a tired, gagging, wheezing, longing to die false dichotomy non-argument in an effort not to debate, but to shut down any possibility for intelligent debate, and then staged the assassination of Charlie Kirk to be as public a stunt as possible just to send their message; the fact is that it was never that simple. And yet, they called the masses that had infinite reasons to opposed their Tidery "fascists," while getting in bed with the Obama / Kamala / Biden crime racket as if it were their genie of the lamp!

Drooling fools indeed!

Political tomfoolery

USAID became a source of neverending scandal. But what was worse: it became an act of criminal usurpation of the US on every level. It turned the constitution completely on its head. It allowed a crime syndicate to run the country in a criminal manner, and to systematically neuter any and all resistance with one false flag or illegal raid after another.

But worse: it extorted criminally some of the most powerful corporations in America. Injected actual fascism into their veins like a drug! Turned them into Obama's lapdogs, to find hundreds of ways to tell Americans exactly how much he hated them.

At behest of the syndicate, even Congress and the FBI were dictating to these corporations whom they were to silence, suppress, censor, intimidate, or report - often for the most insignificant things! They were encouraged under DEI programs to hire plants that were 100% unqualified to hold any position BREATHING, much less working within those companies! They rammed degeneracy of every imaginable variety down consumers' throats to the fullest extent that they could still get away with just shy of doing anything that would instigate mass uprising.

And why such demonic activity? Why so cruel to the consumer? Because the criminal syndicate made sure that money that was supposed to go toward upholding justice and the law was instead going toward perverting it. Taxpayers, on threat of prison or gun to head, now had to pay the big machine that stole the election in 2020 to redirect that money so, that it could prop up the video game companies it was extorting - and every other corporation it was extorting!

Meanwhile, it encouraged these companies to mistreat consumers; embracing increasingly greedy and scummy business models. If they started losing customers due to bad faith practices? DIDN'T MATTER! Why? Because taxpayers had to pay to keep the company afloat regardless! No one was offered any choice! You were paying to play the Sims through the backdoor, whether you knew it or not! Whether you even played it or not!

And companies like EA? "Too big to fail!"

It got worse

But then, Isn't-rael, the Beast of the Sea, the False Isreal, Herodland, the most abominable of lands since ancient Amalek was a turd stain on the face of the planet, run by a Polish gangster in Jewish drag, holding the former land of Israel and all its citizens hostage to his criminal racket? Proved the greediest of the greedy. All that money? It wanted that money so it could rape and murder more Coptics, who were innocent, while continuing to shamelessly lie and pretend it was about fighting Hamas.

Trump sold his soul to them so he could win in 2024, and most Americans remained blindsided. When some, like myself, Bradlee Dean, Dave Wells, and other brave souls, came forward to expose the Trojan horse; Americans who didn't want to admit they were wrong in 2016 effectively went to war themselves to shoot the messengers. Screaming like a Venom symbiote in a church bell echo chamber that ANYONE would DARE expose Trump as a false messiah!

So all that money DOGE was supposed to put back in Americans' pockets? Went to Herodland instead. All those refunds? Never happened. All those scum nuggets that were fired? Hired right back!

Some of the DEI offices were shut down. But celebration was premature. The money is now going toward Mossad pedophiles and headhunters. And you thought that stupid fund for "transgender theater in Colombia" was an unconstitutional abuse of taxpayer money? Robbing the taxpayer blind, and giving the money to a foreign military without any right, and even without Congressional oversight? That's TREASON!!!

However, the cancer didn't stop its metastasis. Noooo...it keeps going!

With USAID gone, the companies that were needed for mapping dissidents to New World Order filth were suddenly no longer essential. So after being used, those companies were discarded. With USAID shut down, those companies can no longer be taxpayer subsidized. They're no longer "too big to fail."

EA goes "private"

And that includes EA, owners of Maxis.

Cue Isn't-real and the Saudis' greatest weapon of mass destruction ever: private equity.

Like the villains in Batman Begins; they've learned how to weaponize economics to destroy nations.

Victims are endless

And indeed, that's where we are today!

Private equity has lain waste to Disney, leading to gross negligence of the Canada Pavilion at Epcot, which is struggling to remain relevant. The scourge of the sodomite Barney Frank, and his equally pure evil allies Barry Obama and Chris Dodd, led to the creation of the Dodd-Frank bill, which was then signed into (f)law by the dumb-dumb traitor George W. Scherff III, grandson of the Nazi. Better known to most as "Bush 43." The courts, whose sacred duty it was to destroy this wretched and nugatory under the constitution piece of filth (f)law, striking it down with might and righteous fury, accepted the serpent's tongue whispering in their ears, telling them to let it stand.

Before the ink was even dry, private equity swooped in on America like vultures in 2008, and have only gotten worse since - especially under Trump!

In that same year, these devils dressed as men moved fast. They bought Sea World. And Sea World has been unable to truly grow into a worthy park since. Managing decline has been its specialty ever since private equity took over.

DisneyWorld: suffering. Sea World: miraculously, not dead yet.

JoAnn Fabrics: destroyed by the parasite that is private equity.

And after installing one of their own devil-minded at Nintendo, they've gone to work to make Nintendo and the US Patent office greedy enough to nearly destroy themselves with insane, frivilous, bad faith patent motions. All so Nintendo can make themselves a global monopoly, and make it illegal for anyone else to make a video game. All because they're salty that PalWorld can make better games.

But now that EA has been drowning in bad business decision after bad business decision; Saudi private equity scum have staged a hostile takeover. EA is unable to sustain itself now without the drug that was USAID. So now, they're being consumed by a private equity firm.

But this won't lead to greater creativity. It will lead to more pressure than ever to make games scummier and greedier than ever - the very thing consumers don't want! Why? Because now, EA has to pay back all its original debt, AND all the debt that it has to take on so the private equity shareholders can pay themselves back!

It's as if business owners never learn. Better to neutron bomb your own base and take out the private equity vultures, than to sign with that pen! It's a deal with the Devil!!!

But after years to what it's done to itself? EA is now demoralized enough to shake hands with Mephisto.

And indeed, it has!

What does this mean for DzMD?

Dozerfleet Machinomic Downloadables was created to help grow the world of Dozerfleet Comics, and then share that world by adapting it for gamers. Its origins trace all the way back to 2005, when the very first attempt at Ciem was made. This soon led to other mod creations. And in time, it led to an ever-expanding set of game custom content being generated by DzMD - whether related to Dozerfleet IP or not. It was first known as only the "gaming collection." When it was primarily Sims games, it was going to be renamed All Things Sims. But when another site already existed by that name, it switched to Utterly Sims. However, to reflect that the collection could be about more games than just Sims games, it was rebranded around 2014 to Dozerfleet Machinomic Downloadables - "DzMD" for short, following similar abbreviation logic to "Disney XD."

Around 2018, the archive started branching out into games other than Sims 2, Sims 3, and Sims 4. It was the year that MakeHuman, Spore, Universe Sandbox, and more were added. There are now InZOI recipe books and House Flipper 2 experiments for game content being made or explored.

But alas, those fun days aren't going to last. The downfall of EA to private equity now jeopardizes the entire Sims gaming platform.

So here's the way DzMD is looking at things, at present:

  • The Anarteq: Top of the World Story Pack will be finished, but the detailed embedded abridged story won't be included. Instead, its time and resources will go entirely to the novel, and possibly the manga.
  • The Centipede and Fire Saga and Anarteq Sims 4 packs will be given their handbooks, but those handbooks will give minimal focus to including the story within. They'll mostly be about including characters' basic art and about their game spec info. The lengthy story summaries in The Sims 4: Magic of Movies and Memes Stuff won't be happening with these handbooks.
  • The Swappernetters packs will get their handbooks as well, but only because two of them already have IMDB pages.
  • The Horrorday Gang Story Pack will get a handbook from its updated description, but it will still do the bare minimum. And again, only because it has an IMDB page.
  • The Sodality: Adaptation and Determination Story Pack will soon be canceled. Even though its handbook-free version exists, it won't get a handbook. It will be taken down.
  • The Sodality: Instigation Story Pack will get a handbook conversion, but only because the work is already done.
  • Unless required to take them down in the future, for whatever reason, the stuff packs will remain as they are.
  • The final InZOI and House Flipper 2 books will be released when ready.

After this, game modding will cease, sooner than anticipated.

What does this mean for Dozerfleet Comics?

Corando's "Don't Lose Hope" will now be the final machinomic with pure Sims 4 output. Everything else will now have to have its baseline art be AI-generated, then altered in Affinity Photo to produce final renders. All initial plans to make a Sims 4 version of Blood Over Water, Sorbet, or Volkonir 2008 are now nullified.

But will even these hold legal water?

Krea will likely hold, and serve as a solid backup. But if Nintendo or private equity firms decide to come after all game modding, not just game companies? Then the following will happen:

  • DzMD will be archived and discontinued. Its history will still be noted, but it will no longer be operation.
  • Dozerfleet Comics will permanently archive any machinomic that cannot be converted to AI, and that cannot be hosted in its current form anymore.

It's unlikely that they will become malicious enough to target free-release ebooks made with game assets for defunct games. Especially really old comics. But if the mods are outlawed? Given the games themselves might shut down, those mods would simply disappear.

What does this all mean, long-term, for the blogs?

If DzMD collapses, then Dozerfleet Labs will no longer make sense existing as a separate blog. Its content would then be merged with the main blog's bookstore. There is consideration already to merge the Labs blog into the main blog as-is. It would be an arduous process to move so many things that have been here for years to the main blog. But if need be, that's what must happen.

What of character designs?

Character redesigns are being explored for some Dozerfleet heroes. Most notably, the Chilopod Crusaders. Ciem (Candi Flippo), Ciem (Tanya Woven), and Feruga (Michelle Winston) are most being considered for suit revisions. Their centipede natures need to reflect more in their suit designs, so children no longer mistake them for Spider-Girl variants. Once Dozerfleet Comics' future is secured, there won't be as many design restrictions based on game engine restrictions requiring any of these characters to use a spider hero archetype for their character designs. They are free to evolve slightly in costume design. Though the exact direction they will take is hard to determine. It's difficult to find anything for them that DC or Marvel haven't already done with their characters.

Most Dozerfleet heroes, with the noble exceptions of Ciem, Extirpon, Anarteq, and the Gray Champion, tend to be generic enough in appearance that they will likely never require significant redesigns. The Gray Champion, Anarteq, and Extirpon are fine in their designs as they currently are. Even though Plum Bixie is inspired by a set of clothing options from Far Cry 5, those particular outfit articles are generic enough that there likely won't ever be any trademark disputes.

For the Sodality: Instigation and Centipede and Fire Saga packs, Candi's Ciem suits will still use their current form. However, future adaptations of her saga may be free to modify the suit designs slightly.

The Centipede and Fire Saga's illustrations could go the animated route as well, just like Anarteq: Top of the World. While the other Anarteq entries can toy with imitation-live-action AI outputs for their illustrations in the novels, the animated route would allow for more freedom in Candi's Ciem suit design. If all else fails, the entirety of Earth-G7 could go the 2D animation route in the future. What is clear, is that Candi's no longer required to stick to the curren design in other media; though she'll have it for the game pack art. A version of Candi's current design is already in The Gerosha Chronicles: Assorted Heroes and Villains Coloring Book. As well as the Anarteq: Top of the World Official Coloring Book. However, she's not obligated to keep those designs forever, since Imaki has made numerous suits for her.

The seven remaining items are going to feature in a virtual tour book featuring screenshots from the game. Various complications made it difficult for Dozerfleet Labs to host files of the actual progress save files of houses. The seven deleted projects removed due to a combination of game limitations and real life schedule conflicts. No actual game files will be offered for download, though the seven homes will still feature.

Citric Sid migrating

When the Citric Sid recipes were first uploaded to this blog, this was because the current Bookstore format at the main Dozerfleet blog didn't exist yet. As the recipes are consolidated, they'll become part of one single cookbook. Though still maintaining the Citric Sid and Dozerfleet Labs branding, the 1st Edition menu of the Iqaluk Cafe is going to be located at the Bookstore on the main blog, rather than on this blog.

InZoi character recipes for Cherinob 2 now available

Check the Games tab to find it. After this, the Cherinob 3 book for InZoi is pending. This will be followed by The Trapezoid Kids, Grillitan Diner, Camelorum Adventures, Corando, and Volkonir. Every property that was adapted for The Sims 4: Magic of Movies and Memes Stuff is getting an InZoi book first. When these are cleared from the slate, work will resume on Anarteq: Top of the World for The Sims 3. Work on the wiki articles for Anarteq in gaming will also resume. Once Top of the World is finished, the booklets for the Anarteq adaptations for Sims 4 will be worked on, followed by the InZoi recipes for the Anarteq cast. This will be followed by Sims 4 handbooks and InZoi recipe books for the other Sims adaptation properties from the old catalog, especially The Horrorday Gang.

The final franchise to get InZoi and Sims 4 booklets will be the Centipede and Fire Saga, culiminating in the writing of Ciem: Inferno the novel, and work on the actual comic for Blood Over Water. With these done, and Purge-Flare possibly getting a repackage, the novels will likely get a bright future. Game modding will eventually be phased out. However, Dozerfleet Labs will still host the existing titles, along with the software and crafts of Dozerfleet.

Streamlined navigation

Links to DzMD content have now been made faster and more efficient. All download pages now link directly to the DzMD main page, which functions as the game store.

The first InZoi-related title is now available for download

In anticipation of the March 28th stated release date for InZoi, DzMD has made several bits of art combining game screenshot art with Krea AI - to propose re-creation of the cast of the Dozerfleet Megaverse inside the world of Krafton's new game. This measure was done this way due to the fact that Dozerfleet Main wasn't powerful enough at the time to run the character creator demo for InZoi.

The first of these character recipe books is now available for download: InZOI: The Cherinob Character Recipe Book. It is set to be followed by Cherinob 2, Cherinob 3, Corando's "Don't Lose Hope", Volkonir, The Trapezoid Kids, Grillitan Diner, and Camelorum Adventures tie-in books, in keeping with the fact that these particular title were previously adapted for The Sims 4: Magic of Movies and Memes Stuff.

Following the release of these recipe books, the Anarteq and Ciem sagas will get their InZoi books, followed by the others.

The Argon Vole has been patched.

The initial release of The Sims 4: Magic of Movies and Memes Stuff came with a little bit of everything included...though the Argon Vole Knight's armor went missing. It has been patched back in.

Magic of Movies and Memes now has an IMDB page

You can check it out here.

In addition to this, the stuff pack now has its official handbook published, allowing downloaders a whole 311 pages worth of content to know what's included in the pack, and its significance!

With this upload finished, about all that remains to finish the project of Magic of Movies and Memes entirely is the following:

  • Cleaning up the wiki articles.
  • Cleaning up images and workspace offline.
  • Generating a trailer for YouTube.
  • Making the wiki article for the trailer.

When this work has commenced, the next project to gain major focus will be the official handbook for the Anarteq: Guardian of the Soo Story Pack for The Sims 4, along with creating a spin-off pack for The Sims 3 dubbed Anarteq: Top of the World. Completion of those works will be followed by the generation of handbooks for:

  • The Sims 4: Anarteq: Tropic Mercenary Story Pack
  • The Sims 4: Anarteq: Envoy to Lough Melvin Story Pack
  • The Sims 4: Ciem: Inferno Story Pack
  • The Sims 4: Ciem: Ash Cloud Story Pack
  • The Sims 4: Ciem: Caldera Story Pack
  • The Sims 4: Sodality: Adaptation and Determination Story Pack

With those handbooks made, the old blog posts set to be cleaned up afterward and the content converted to handbooks will include:

  • The Sims 4: Swappernetters: Frontliner Story Pack
  • The Sims 4: Swappernetters: The Chrome Kite Story Pack
  • The Sims 4: Swappernetters: Supporting Cast Story Pack
  • The Sims 4: Swappernetters: Screwworms and Other Villains Story Pack
  • The Sims 4: Sodality: Instigation Story Pack
  • The Sims 4: The Horrorday Gang Story Pack

Adding The Sims 3: Anarteq: Top of the World Story Pack means that there will be a total of 17 Sims packs still hosted on DzMD. The InZOI character recipe books are also still pending, along with research into making some of the homes from The Gerosha Chronicles into mods for House Flipper 2.

The quest for better 3D continues

While a 3D-capable monitor and video card are still financially out of the question at Dozerfleet for the time being, making battery-powered 3D options not a plausible reality, there is still some desire to increase the efficiency with which some projects could be made with 3D support - for those who'd love to see at least some 3D Dozerfleet content.

One of the best applications in planning for it at the moment would be the pending remake of Blood Over Water. As a 3D comic, it would be stellar. A 3D re-release of the photocomic could make a great proof-of-concept. At present, unfortunately, anaglyph is still the best method for Dozerfleet works. There is a setup possibly arriving by Christmas that would allow for shooting native 3D photography. While applications for this are currently limited, it would make for a nice option if, say, The Mutt Mackley Show got a reboot.

As for machinomics, options are highly limited. ReShade's SuperDepth3D was tested with Dozerfleet Main's handling of The Sims 4 - with very unsatisfying results. The best 3D possible with that format looked like this when used on the Iqaluk Cafe from The Sims 4: Magic of Movies and Memes Stuff:

Not terrible, but not great either.

By contrast, this is what was produced when forcing the camera in-game into slightly different angles to attempt native 3D:

A dramatic improvement! However, the camera in The Sims 4 doesn't always cooperate well enough to match this gold standard. So when there are scenes that won't work for native shot? The best solution is still depth-mapping. However, that can take a lot of time to do manually.

Fortunately, Owl 3D is able to do a reasonably good job with post-processed 3D. Here's the scene with Owl:

Still not as solid as native 3D, but close enough to make you feel like you're watching something with some quality.

To note: back in 2011, native was how Warner Bros. and its subsidiaries shot The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The Amazing Spider-Man from 2012 was also made in native 3D, albeit by Sony. The Avengers, with slightly inferior 3D quality, was post-processed. Disney hired a decent conversion team though.

Owl 3D has given to the average consumer the kind of depth-mapping AI tech that Hollywood has already been able to take advantage of for quite some time.

So for Blood Over Water? The remake will attempt native where it can. It will post-process where it can't. The photocomic would have to be post-processed, given that 2009 was a very long time ago, making reshoots for that version pretty much impossible.

The Megaverse in InZoi - But There are Caveats

Featured: Tabitha Pang from Swappernetters, in the world of InZoi.

Dozerfleet Labs has been hard at work trying to use Krea AI in coordination with game screenshots from InZoi to imagine what the Dozerfleet Megaverse (Abrujanian Family of Timelines) might look like in the world of that game. At the time of this post, only a few renders are yet to be finalized from the Cherinob saga, Sodality series, and Gray Champion saga.

Once all character sets have been completed, recipe books may then be shared under a pending InZoi game tab. These recipe books will contain hypothetical data about what re-creating characters from various Dozerfleet projects in the game format of InZoi may entail.

What the recipe books will contain

  • Character concept art renders, made with Krea AI, and edited with Photoshop Elements.
  • Character bios
  • Links to characters' wiki articles
  • Descriptions of the characters' hypothetical Altered data, and how it could be translated to the game.
  • Characters' recommended personality, aspiration, and skill traits
  • A limited number of theorized pets

What the recipe books won't contain

Unfortunately, without the ability of the current tower serving as Dozerfleet Main to run the actual InZoi game, only the aforementioned content is practical to even pursue. So the following won't be found under the recipe books' sections:

  • Actual character files for download
  • Vehicles
  • Makeup
  • Gameplay objects
  • Clothing items, separate from characters wearing them
  • Custom VFX scripts for Altered characters
  • Real estate
  • Definitive Altered data tutorials
  • Official game DLC requirement lists
  • Custom content requirement lists

Site credits?

While the Sims 4 packs for DzMD qualify for IMDB pages, the InZoi recipe books, by virtue of not having any file downloads to associate them with, will not qualify for said IMDB pages. The complete collection of catalogs for hypothetical Zois could receive publication credit on LinkedIn; but would qualify for neither IMDB nor ICDB.

Altered life states: a logistical nightmare?

Altered characters will especially have a difficult time being adapted by fans to the game's format as anything other than aesthetic mods. Krafton has yet to confirm any intention to support Altered Life States in their game, the way that EA added an "occult" system to The Sims 4. In that game, the following entities have been able to be substituted:

  • Amphibioids: Mods, highly-altered Sim body shapes, rare in-game or custom skintones or skin overlays, and Photoshop effects.
  • Angels: Any combinations of Alien occult state, Spellcaster state, Armageddon Mod, or the Angel and Demon Traits mod. Glowing iris effects on Radiatrim are usually enhanced with Photoshop. Cherinob's "mesh" is a Photoshop blend mode filter.
  • Anitos: Altered skin
  • Botanoids: Plant Sim occult state, often maintained via mods.
  • Casteroids: Werewolves, with their head shapes modified to better resemble a beaver.
  • Centhuen Prototypes: Altered color irises and protruding centilegs are Photoshop effects. Otherwise, Centhuen Prototypes are usually normal Sims. Under certain circumstances, their abilities may be enhanced with the Armageddon Mod.
  • Cortascians: Usually portrayed by normal Sims.
  • True Centhuens: Mods, rare skin colors or overlays, insect accessory mods, and post-capture Photoshop effects.
  • Chemistry Manipulators: Mods, rare skin colors or overlays, and chemistry effects are post-capture Photoshop effects.
  • Emotion Batteries: Varying effects. May require custom skintones or overlays. Usually involve the Armageddon mod, and sometimes an Alien or Spellcaster occult state. Effects are almost always finalized in Photoshop.
  • Fire Elementals: Varying combinations of the Spellcaster occult state, or possibly the Armageddon Mod. Results are almost always Photoshop-enhanced.
  • Gwirdons: Standard Sims with green skintones. Compound eyes and proboscide are usually added with Photoshop, with their traditional mouths hidden. Treaders are sometimes portrayed by mannequins.
  • Jackaloids: Custom Sims with furry mods.
  • Kritchabloid Demons: Any combinations of Vampire occult state, Spellcaster state, Armageddon Mod, or the Angel and Demon Traits mod. Photoshop is usually employed for additional VFX.
  • Lightning Elementals: Charged Sims via cheats, Spellcasters, or else the Armageddon mod may be employed.
  • Lirquinwurs: Alien Sims, or a wall decoration standing in when they make only their heads visible.
  • Meethlites: Standard Sims with tiny noses and custom / dark skintones / overlays.
  • Microwave Mouths: Standard Sims with a Photoshop effect added to the scene.
  • Milthuen Prototypes: The TOOL mod helps them with sticking to walls. Otherwise, same protocols as a Centhuen Prototype.
  • True Milthuens: Similar protocols as with a True Centhuen.
  • Parakoids: Standard Sims with furry mods. Tails are usually Photoshopped.
  • Petroids: Standard Sims with rare or custom skintones / overlays. Additional effects are usually Photoshopped.
  • Phantomimics: Ghost effects are usually achieved using either the Nightstalker occult state, or else standard Sims run through Photoshop filters. Two versions of a scene, with and without the Sim, will be shot, to manipulate transparency. More rarely, a Ghost Sim can be used.
  • Phaelites: Standard Sims with custom / green skintones / overlays. Rarely, they can be Alien Sims, though this complicates their physiology too much.
  • Polymorphs: Altered skintones, like what becomes of Perchta, can be selected with rare or custom skintones in Create-A-Sim. Any shape-warping effects are done in Photoshop.
  • Qalupaliks: Heavily modified mermaids, usually turned into Kelpies using the Extended Mermaids mod.
  • Tariaksuq: Vampire Sims paired with furry mods to look more like reindeer. Jerry the Psycho Reindeer's eyes are a combination of Photoshop and the Supervillain eyes effect from the Armageddon mod.
  • Vampires: Usually made with the standard Vampire Sim occult state that comes with the game pack. However, there is very little consistency regarding their appearances, rules, and powers.
  • Water Elementals: Usually standard Sims, sometimes paired with the Armageddon mod. Most water effects are made later in Photoshop.
  • Wereaardwolves: Standard Sims with furry mods.
  • Weregoats: Usually Vampire Sims, but paired in their Dark Forms with numerous bits of custom content to appear more goat-like.
  • Weresalmon: Mermaids with additional Photoshop effects, especially for their face scales. Often paired with the Extended Mermaids mod.
  • Weresharks: Mermaids with Photoshop applied to them. Sometimes paired with the Extended Mermaids mod.
  • Weretigers: Werewolves altered in Create-A-Sim to look more tiger-like. Lava Tigre's lava and fire effects are done in Photoshop.
  • Werewolves: Utilization of the standard in-game Werewolf occult state that comes with the game pack.
  • Xomians: Purple Phaelites. Alien Sims usually suffice.
  • Xomified: What being Xomified means varies widely. Mos VFX are created with Photoshop. Most Xomifieds are portrayed by standard Sims.
  • Zeranites: Teleportation cheats. Zeran holes are visual effects added in Photoshop, often a very crude take on Doctor Strange-style magic portals.

The following have not been so easy:

  • Kaijin: Adaptation varies widely. Some can be made with only a few makeup or costume effects. Some can be kitbashed into existence from in-game clothing and objects. Other types are simply impossible in The Sims 4.
  • Minionoids: These have to be Photoshopped in when taking a quasi-solid form. Otherwise, they are like clouds of smoke, and need to be depicted as smoke using something like Andrew's Studio Effect Player.

To make adapting Megaverse Altered states into InZoi be on par with the difficulty level of adapting to The Sims 4, the following would be needed:

  1. Some or another form of werewolf.
  2. Some or another form of vampire.
  3. Some or another form of witch species.
  4. Some or another form of ghost.
  5. Some or another form of alien.
  6. Some or another form of merfolk.
  7. Furry mods
  8. An equivalent mod to Armageddon, that grants superpowers. Or an actual DLC that grants them.
  9. Technicolor skintones
  10. Plant-Zois

The sub-franchises: Will they adapt?

It is unclear, given Krafton's emphasis on realism, the extent to which it would have any interest in adapting any form of occult entities into the world of InZoi. While some have speculated on an emphasis on creatures from Asian lore, this too remains questionable. Western monsters would need mods, more than likely, to be adapted at all. If Krafton is open in the future to adapting the Megaverse, then the following properties would be the easiest for them to adapt:

  • Navyrope: Due to lack of superpowered characters
  • Blood Over Water: Due to very few supernatural characters
  • Extirpon: Due to the fact that, Emotion Battery characters notwithstanding, most everyone else is not a supernatural character. And most Emotion Battery effects would be fairly easy to replicate.
  • Swappernetters: Due to the futurism aesthetic of Chrome Kite construction projects, relatively low supernatural character count, and emphasis on characters using pragmatic skills and social engineering to accomplish their goals.
  • Corando's "Don't Lose Hope": Filforth notwithstanding, the most supernatural thing depicted is the meteor shower destroying Porbandar. Otherwise, the cast are all normal.
  • Sorbet: Zombies and two vampires notwithstanding, few supernatural events. Hadley's having to repeat the time loop would be easy to copy from the game's preexisting mechanics for rewinding time.
  • Cherinob: Angel and demon alt modes notwithstanding, HMCs would be very similar to Emotion Battery Marlquaanites, such as Extirpon. Unless employing fancy supernatural effects, they'd be no different than witches, gameplay-wise. Their HMC forms would mostly be entirely ordinary. Vanishing along the W Axis would be tricky to depict; but would allow them to have offscreen battles to compensate for the game's limitations.
  • The Bison: Grinodos notwithstanding, only the Bison himself counts as a "supernatural" being. He'd add very little new gameplay, and would mostly be an NPC for Zois to be scared of.
  • Path of the Ming-Cho: Due to lack of superpowered characters
  • Pilltar: The robots notwithstanding, a relative lack of "supernatural" characters.
  • Grillitan Diner: Main cast are all mundane human characters.
  • The Gray Champion: The main difficulty with this one would be John Domeck, Marge Ramirez, Miles Charleston, Ted Brackett, and Kathy Hibbins' Marlquaan abilities. Eqquibus being a winged reverse-centaur monster would also complicate matters. Otherwise, Boston is a pretty regular city. The SCALLOP agents featured would be cute. The Pang family is of Korean descent.

Meanwhile, Krafton would most likely not agree to adapting these properties:

  • Anarteq: Tons of characters based on various western indigenous mythologies. Each new type of character would require an entirely new mechanic for their occult physiology.
  • The Centipede and Fire Saga: Various superheroes and supervillains of multiple forms = lots of new occult states to define. Plus, heavy environmental destruction to account for.
  • Phaemer Village Peacekeepers: Multiple kinds of aliens to account for make doing so as complicated as making a Guardians of the Galaxy video game.
  • The Tale of Plum Bixie: Due to the rated M for Mature levels of violence.
  • Sodality: Huge "supernatural" cast, tons of environmental destruction.
  • The Horrorday Gang: "Supernatural" characters, violence, and gore.
  • The Slushy Show: Silly talking cartoon animals = lots of new mechanics to work out.
  • Camelorum Adventures: Lots of "supernatural" and otherwise altered beings to account for = lots of new mechanics. Plus, cartoon physics for characters that run on toonforce.
  • Volkonir: While henshin suits wouldn't be a problem, Gwirdons and kaijin would make for significant adaptation difficulty.
  • The Trapezoid Kids: Xiphonikian physiology makes very little sense in the game's world.

Project: Rene influence

A recent announcement from EA is that their work on Project: Rene will be utilized for remaking The Sims Mobile, as well as finding new ways to enhance gameplay for The Sims 4. The full-scale version of The Sims 5 is no longer happening. This means that, for what it counts, The Sims 4 is the last numbered title in the franchise to be happening for quite some time, for the forseeable future. Therefore, without a proper successor, Sims 4's spiritual successor is, in fact, InZoi. Newberry and Life By You having gone bust, and Paralives developers keeping quiet, it remains to be seen how many new life sim games actually are still coming.

It would appear that for all the disappointment from some gamers, there is a silver lining for DzMD. The Sims 4 packs under its banner can retain their relevance a little bit longer. With sufficient demand, a Sims 3 Anarteq set could justify its release in 2025 as well, for those retro gamers who really want one. There are no plans to restore any content from The Sims 2.

What about the real estate?

Without the ability to run InZoi from Dozerfleet Main, Dozerfleet Labs cannot, at this time, produce inside that game's format any real estate adaptations of any building - in either real life or The Sim 4. However, there are still plans to adapt some of the residential properties for House Flipper 2.

For those wanting more Anarteq gameplay

No official Sims 3 packs for Anarteq were ever completed by DzMD. The three packs for The Sims 4 are available now. However, Anarteq gameplay in The Sims 3 is arguably better - and with more for your Anarteq cast-themed Sims to do, given the open world.

Alas, most of the default neighborhoods that come with The Sims 3 don't really do justice to Anarteq gameplay. There are exceptions. Isla Paradiso is great for Tropic Mercenary setting gameplay, if you have the patience to re-create the cast there.

But what if you want to have your Sims on an Irish adventure, a-la Envoy to Lough Melvin? Rinn Fada by Conorsim and Ballinderry Ireland by FredBunny are near-perfect for this type of gameplay.

Yet, perhaps even more desired by players than this, would be proper Guardian of the Soo gameplay. Or, more specifically, gameplay centered around regions related to Guardian of the Soo, but not necessarily Sault Ste Marie itself.

Acadia by BabolatBuiltIt may work for Sault Ste Marie itself in a pinch, but works much better as a stand-in for North Bay and Yellek. It arguably looks more convincing than Copperdale! Failing that, the Sims 3 Store has Aurora Skies for download.

Jissika, heading toward the fair.

Entering the haunted house.

Gold Bridge can be simulated for either Envoy to Lough Melvin or Guardian of the Soo gameplay by Great Bear, a world created by Johnnywr.

Izzy goes for a swim.

Underwater gameplay can be simulated with Mermadia by Crowkeeper.

What else is at the bottom of the Great Lakes?

Mermaidia stands in excellently for the Great Lakes, leading to pretty epic shots.

Izzy and Jissika training to be like Toklo and Tulimak.

If you're really up for a challenge of an Arctic world, the nearest equivalent to Iqaluit, able to also double as Nordreichdun, is Saaqartoq by Nilxis Designs. Feel free to try any of these out, if you're still playing The Sims 3.

It's the closest to Greenland most of you will ever be.

The Dark Kingdom of the North: Nordreichdun. Notice: Krampus sucked most of the color out of the buildings.

Hopefully, a Sims 4 proper Arctic world will still happen. It's unlikely to be patched into either The Horrorday Gang Story Pack nor into the Anarteq: Guardian of the Soo Story Pack, but such a world would complement both story packs' gameplay nicely.

Sims 4 Story Pack collections almost complete

Dozerfleet Labs has been working at a fever pace to finalize the last few packs for the DzMD Sims 4 collection, before moving on to House Flipper 2 mods. Most of the packs still need their official handbooks. However, the utter mess that is compiling the packs is almost at an end. As of 8:40 PM EDT on June 7th of 2024, a compilation was made of the Sodality: Adaptation and Determination Story Pack.

This is a follow-up to 2020's Sodality: Instigation Story Pack, and includes all major highlights of continuity from Adaptation, Determination, Augmentation, and Vindication. At the last minute, Victor Nanale of the Kerpher Gang and the Phaemer Village Peacekeepers were added - with some notes about Keet Kabo features that couldn't be adapted.

The final pack, set to be compiled around Monday the 10th or around Tuesday the 11th of June of 2024, is the Anarteq: Envoy to Lough Melvin Story Pack.

After this final pack is compiled, Dozerfleet will no longer focus on creating mods for Sims games, nor supporting them. The official handbooks missing for key existing packs will be written and published, so each pack will have its official handbook. Trailers on YouTube are being considered for Magic of Movies and Memes Stuff, Ciem: Inferno Story Pack, Anarteq: Guardian of the Soo Story Pack, Ciem: Ash Cloud Story Pack, Anarteq: Tropic Mercenary Story Pack, and one for the Swappernetters collection of packs.

With all handbooks finished at that point, the packs will get IMDB pages, if they don't already have them. Wiki articles will be updated as well. Once research is completed on House Flipper 2 mods, the Dozerfleet founder will retire from game modding.

The comics still pending to be made with The Sims 4 include Volkonir 2008, Blood Over Water, Sniperbadger: Fall of the Critter Resistance, Ciem / Anarteq: Kahoopiliana, and Sorbet. Path of the Ming-Cho aims to be AI-generated.

With all comics and other Sims pack content finished, use of Sims software will be relegated to last-minute character design drafting, to house floor plans, and to rendering concept art for actions scenes too difficult to generate with standard AI generators. Basic character art will be AI-generated, until real costumes and models can be selected to replace the AI models.

As often as possible, Sims floor plan imagery will be replaced with photographs and video, though this may be a slow process.

The main bookstore on the main blog also intends to reinstate some old projects, and bring new ones to the storefront.

A 90 Has No Secant re-release is in consideration, along with re-releases for the Stationery Voyagers pilot episode "Scalding Inquiries," and the minisodes "The Wages of Cheating Death," and "Ties That Confide" that were written before that series was canceled. Gored By Them Things could also benefit from a re-release, as could the 2007 version of Ciem with minor revisions. Official releases of the fanfics A Centipede Lost in the Spiderverse, A Centipede Returns to the Spiderverse, and A Centipede Once Again Saves the Spiderverse are also up for consideration.

The Corando's "Don't Lose Hope" remake from 2022 remains to be completed and added, but has not been abandoned. This will be included with the other Sims comics.

While the future of Cone's Poetry Tire Swing is debatable, Trisola Poetry is set to get a book compilation, with new artwork. The Gerosha Chronicles: Art of the Early Earths would seek to do justice to the artwork made for those versions of Gerosh continuity that didn't survive beyond 2012. Camelorum Adventures: A Concept Art Repository would do this for Dromedeverse art from the early period of Camelorum development. Dozerfleet Academics: A Compilation of Curated Projects would be a review of all surviving high school - through - SWOCC Studios internship work by the Dozerfleet founder of note to have survived to the present day.

The Games and Mods of Dozerfleet Machinomic Downloadables would celebrate and provide commentary on a walkthrough of all Dozerfleet mods of note from the early days of making Sims 2 mods until the completion of the final 16 Sims 4 packs, and any commentary possible on House Flipper 2 mod research.

Making of the Mackleyverse: What Almost Was would explore the complicated history of Mutt Mackley, and his shows that never happened.

For-profit versions of releases for Ciem: Inferno: The Grand Tour and A Very Anarteq Tour of the Soo are being pursued, as tie-ins for their respective novels in the works. Percolation: The Complete Encyclopedia of Crossover Gerosha and Dozerfleet Crossovers is also still being pursued for completion, to discuss the history of Dozerfleet with Marvel: Avengers Alliance, as well as other fanfics, and the development of mythos for the Percolation Warriors saga.

Not to be forgotten, the Every Ape and His Brother parody song lyric collection is set to wrap up with the completion of the final album: The Man From '84. All albums will get their own booklet releases.

Updates on the Story Packs

Dozerfleet is inching ever closer to the ending of an era, and the start of another one. Once the machinomics are finished, only some concept art panels and house plans will still require The Sims, any version of it, to remain a part of the operation. Once House Flipper 2 exploration is finished, the Dozerfleet founder will step down as the main mod creator at DzMD. Those wishing to operate through the brand for the brand may contact him to do so. Other games with Dozerfleet-related mods are possible this way, but the founder will not be creating for more game titles personally.

But before those final House Flipper 2 mods can be explored, let alone published, the era of Sims 4 modding must come to a close. This will usher in the final comics, which will then usher in the for-profit books.

To that end, the packs for The Sims 4 must be finalized, all 16 of them. With some reformatting touches, Into the Future Conversions and Oughties Big Rapids Living Stuff were finalized in early 2024. The Horrorday Gang Story Pack and Sodality: Instigation Story Pack are getting add-on content before being finalized. The Swappernetters Story Pack Series is also getting a few add-ons of new material.

Otherwise, 2024 saw the compilation of Magic of Movies and Memes, with a pending official handbook. This is the final full-blown stuff pack by Dozerfleet Labs via DzMD for The Sims 4. Ciem: Inferno and Anarteq: Guardian of the Soo received completed compilations of their story packs, with the handbooks pending. On May 25th, Ciem: Ash Cloud also got a story pack tie-in compiled, also on a waiting list for an official handbook.

To complete the compilations and make the artwork, the following still need to be created:

  1. Ciem: Caldera Story Pack
  2. Anarteq: Tropic Mercenary Story Pack
  3. Anarteq: Envoy to Lough Melvin Story Pack
  4. Sodality: Adaptation and Determination Story Pack

Once those four are done being compiled, no new Sims 4 mods will be created for dowload as part of a pack set via DzMD. Instead, the "Holding Bay for Old Tray" folder will get emptied into the main Tray folder, to restore the in-game library. The game will be used for artwork generation almost exclusively from that point onward, until it is no longer needed for that purpose. This comes with many benefits, the most obvious of which being that folders no longer have to be screened for third party content.

Dealing with abandonware

Now that The Sims 2 is officially considered abandonware, the mods for it on DzMD are going to start coming down. A booklet will be released about the history of these mods, as best as that history can be reconstructed. In time, that same treatment will be done for The Sims 3 and The Sims Medieval, as mods for those games will also be pulled from the site. Spore and MakeHuman will follow, and possibly Universe Sandbox too. DzMD will soon be reduced to a few archives of Sims 4 mods, a page about what could have been for Spider-Man 2, and a page for mods for House Flipper 2.

The Software and Crafts section has adopted the old StretchSkeleton Cheat Accessories Kit.

So far, the first Sims 2 item to be removed has been the Cast of Inception pack. More will follow. The Ghost Recon Sign and Snakes on a Plane seats are being considered for adaptation to Magic of Movies and Memes Stuff for The Sims 4. Most everything else in the Sims 2 roster will be discontinued indefinitely.
