Description
This exercise was originally dubbed "Iron Style," and was drafted back in 2010 as a way to teach youth how to design fancy page images using the latest and greatest in CSS. It has since been updated to 2021 CSS standards. The stylization of it was themed after Iron Man 2.
Notes
Exercise remains the property of Dozerfleet Labs. Iron Man® is a registered trademark of Marvel. Exercise is a free, just-for-fun experiment. This project was not endorsed by Marvel in any way, shape, or form.
How it works
To play with: Simply open the HTML file in any web browser, and then hover over an arc reactor with your cursor to turn it on. It will immediately turn off when you hover away from it.
To reverse-engineer: Make copies of the source files, and experiment to create your own designs. Beware of where you place your code. Files are very basic, with no Javascript required. May be edited with Notepad.
Check out W3Schools and Stack Overflow if you want to get really fancy, and introduce new shapes, to create everything from Iron Patriot to Mk. 50 designs!
Requirements
Any modern browser by 2021 standards will suffice. Safari (Mac-only), Edge, Opera, Chrome, or Firefox. Was compiled in Firefox. Not recommended for obsolete Windows versions of Safari, nor for Internet Explorer. Recommended for users of Windows Vista - Windows 10, users of Mac Snow Leopard or higher, and more recent Linux OS users. Not recommended for older Linxues, Macs, Windows XP, or anything older.
